// forte a capella

I was commissioned by Ben Spalding, music director of Forte A Capella to design the branding for their third original album, Recovery(2016).

The former 2016 ICHSA World Champions wanted a sleek visual style to match the melancholic, yet hopeful tones of the album with the incorporation of their signature

color, purple.

My goal for the album art was to use the form language of glass to imply the idea of brokenness. Forte stands strong among the shards of refracted light, transforming the ruin into beauty.

I believe this aids in personifying the album's themes of heartache, acceptance,

and growth.
